exercises

Wow, these are good.  The loving-kindness exercise has a wierd way of actually bringing some peace.  To express these emotions to want to help others, the world even, was freeing.  Maybe when I am waiting in line at the grocery store I can use this exercise to not be so mad at the line!  The assessment was quite different but also very helpful.  It is not easy to analyze these areas of my life on my own.  I tend to brush something under the rug even if there is a problem.  To bring it out in the open and make a plan to deal with it will prove to be theraputic.

  1. Lol, I've got to try this in public places too, especially when I'm with my kids. It's so easy to let the stressors of the day get you all tangled up that you get mad and blow up on the wrong people. Over the years I've found that when you bring it out in the open and deal with it, as you said, things work out much smoother. It's when you hold things in that you wind up blowing up. Both the loving-kindness and subtle mind exercise could help with this. Keep at it, over time it will get better, I'm sure of it. Thanks for sharing.
